Affordable and customisable contents insurance to protect your belongings.
Contents insurance protects the possessions in your property against risks such as theft, fire, flood or vandalism.
If your belongings are stolen, destroyed or damaged, then your contents insurance will cover the costs associated with repairing or replacing them.
Typically, contents insurance is purchased as part of a home insurance policy; however, there are instances when a contents-only insurance policy is more suitable, such as for renters.
Contents insurance policies could pay out in two ways, depending on the policy you choose:
Whether you’re renting or own your home, contents insurance is vital in protecting your household items. Additionally, there are optional extras to contents insurance that can cover high-value items and gadgets like mobile phones, that leave the property and can sustain accidental damage.

Contents-only insurance is perfect for tenants who want to arrange cover for their possessions. In most cases, property owners are responsible for buildings insurance, which means renters will only need to buy contents insurance, rather than comprehensive home insurance.
Remember, when you are responsible for damage to fixtures and fittings under your tenancy agreement, such fixtures and fittings are understood to be contents, but you must include them when calculating your sum insured.
While contents insurance covers the possessions in your property, buildings insurance covers everything that's permanently attached, such as your home’s structure.
If you rent, you’ll likely only need contents insurance. Whereas if you own a property, you will need contents and buildings insurance – this is often a condition of your mortgage.
Fortunately, our home insurance conveniently covers both contents and buildings insurance, so you don’t have to worry about having separate plans.
